TENDON TREATMENTS

After clinical examination and imaging has been performed, we can then assess whether or not a tendon needs to be surgically repaired.

Most intact tendons will require a period of non-operative treatment from a multidisciplinary team including physiotherapists and biokineticists. A definitive diagnosis of tendinopathy needs to be made early, and metabolic causes need to be ruled out, before treatment commences.
